Client Strategist (Account Supervisor) Job Description

We’re adding a Client Strategist to our growing agency. A Client Strategist (aka Account Supervisor) at MK is responsible for executing ideas and solutions for clients, and identifying more ways to grow a client’s business. A successful Client Strategist will be more generalist than specialist, someone who’s experienced in projects ranging from print to video to interactive to mobile and everything in between.
It is a Client Strategist’s job to make our clients’ job easier, better and more effective by understanding their business and building lasting relationships.
As a MK Client Strategist, you will:
- Establish and manage client expectations. Become the partner they need and want.
- Build rapport with the client as an advocate for their business and their brand voice.
- Understand the business, the client, the goals for every marketing and advertising dollar spent.
- Develop ideas and solutions that solve the business problems and meet growth objectives.
- Own the lifecycle of a project and speak for and with the client at every phase along the way.
- Understand industry trends, the competitive environment and other factors that affect your clients’ brands.
- Know what’s happening in the category.
- Present ideas to clients confidently, and clearly communicate feedback to team members.
- After all, the buck stops with you.
- Proactively research and present ideas and strategies.
- Develop proposals, statements of work and cost estimates.
- Share success, shoulder failure and learn from every project.
- Play an incremental role in maintaining a positive and fun agency environment.
Who we’re looking for:
- 3-5 years account management experience, either as an account executive or senior account executive, working on everything from print to web to video
- Agency experience preferred
- Great at building relationships
- Excellent communication skills (that includes verbal, written and successful history of presenting)
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to handle many projects on a deadline (without stressing!)
Also:
- Self-motivated
- Detail-oriented
- Computer proficient (we use Macs and Microsoft Office)
- Quick learner (sink or swim, people)
- A snarky sense of humor
- Musical abilities of any kind are also a plus
